A woman died in a bus accident on Manhattan, New York’s Lower East Side on Wednesday afternoon.

Police told that, Loudres Fernandez, 68, got hit by a MTA bus at around 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Jackson & Madison Streets.

According to Fire officials the Metropolitan Transportation Authority M22 bus hit the woman when the driver was making a left turn onto Jackson Street.
