Bronx, Ny, 2010-08-01 - Four men murdered an old grandfather named Juan Lopez who belonged to Bronx for a cell phone. According to the police and his family members, he was kicked and punched so hard that he fell unconscious and never recovered. The victim’s wife Evelyn Lopez said that the ruthless men killed him like an animal. She said that he was a very social person who loved to help people. Two children and three grandchildren survive him. This incident happened on 24th of July, when he left home to help his friend shift. As he walked back home in Caudwell Ave. he was attacked by these four men who hit on his head so hard that he died. Lopez was a well-known person in Mott Haven and his neighbors and friends would always remember him for his wittiness, kind, and helpful nature.

His daughter Melissa Lopez said that he was very popular among kids as he joked and played with them and it is hard to believe that anybody could be so brutal to him.

Police said that the surveillance recording showed that the four men who attacked him used their fists and feet to cause injuries. However, they have not been arrested so far.

With tearful eyes, his daughter Melissa Lopez wished that she could spend more time with him. She pleaded to the public to look for the killers and hand them over to the police so that her father’s soul would rest in peace.
