A 31-year-old, who was mother of 2 children, was shot dead at the Y.M.C.A. pool located at Montclair, New Jersey, on Thursday night. The accused is said to be the father of her two children who shot her in front of dozens of other children and parents who were watching from a few feet away.
The woman has been identified as Monical Paul, and mother of her children is identified as Kenneth Duckett, 37, who was residing in Orange, New Jersey. The accused was sought by the police on Thursday night along with an accomplice who they say drove a getaway vehicle which was abandoned in nearby Orange.

Ms. Paul was shot while she was in the waiting area, while swim class was being held by her 4-year old son. Her 11-year old daughter was accompanying her when she was shot, Ms. Dow said.

Witnesses told that shortly before the shooting, Kenneth confronted Ms.Paul, and pulled out a gun and opened fire which killed her on the spot.

Meanwhile relatives have taken custody of Ms.Paul’s children.
