Corpse Stealing Racket: Brooklyn Man sentenced to 18 years

The mastermind behind a human corpse stealing racket was sentenced to 18-54 years in prison.

Michael Mastromarino, 44, was pleaded guilty in March to dozens of felony counts which includes grand larceny and enterprise corruption.

Legal prosecutors say that Michael was previously working as a head of Biomedical Tissue Services. He has reportedly made several million dollars by looting dead human corpses from city funeral homes and selling them as transplants illegally. His three accomplices were also charged with felony counts for their alleged involvement.
