Man Killed while trying to save brother on J train platform in Queens

Queens, Ny, July 31st 2010 - Police have reported that a 27-year-old man named Dario Pavia was killed while saving his younger brother from a fight that took place at Queens’s subway platform.

Police and his relatives said that a group of men were fighting with 20-year-old Khristian at the 85th St.Forest Parkway Station and when Dario Pavia tried to save him, one of the men slit his throat with a knife and he died few hours later in the Jamaica hospital.

Living in a House becoming Nightmare for Tenants in Queens

Queens, NY, August 2nd 2010 - It was a dream come true for Denise Gibson when he found a spacious Astoria Apartment with a terrace and lovely view of East River.

Biker shot in head in Queens, NY

Queens, New York - July 25th 2010 - Police and eyewitnesses claim that a 41-year-old John Giampetruzzi was shot dead by a gunman on the footpath of 28th St. near Ditmars Building in Queens on Saturday at around five in the morning. According to the police, the victim had a history of previous conviction and was associated with Hells Angels.

Residents of Queens, New York Apartments return after Fire Clean-Up

Residents of Queens, New York apartments returned back to their apartment buildings which caught fire after a gas explosion last week.

The residents started moving back into 11 of the 37 apartments which were vacated after the fire accident.

More than a dozen people were injured in the gas explosion which took place at 147-25 Sanford Avenue. Mr. Edgar Zaldumbide and his two year old daughter Melissa received serious burn injuries in this fire accident.

New York Construction Worker Seriously Injured In a Fall Accident

A New York construction worker got seriously injured after falling from fourth floor of a building in Queens this morning.

According to officials a 40 year old fell when he was installing guard rails on a residential building. He was not wearing safety harness at that time.

The worker was taken to Elmhurst Hospital by the fire officials and was unconscious with multiple injuries.

A stop-work order was issued by the Department of Buildings for safety violations including lack of a safety harness.

New York Police Detective Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping, Promoting Prostitution

A Veteran Police Detective from Queens, New York, pleaded guilty to the kidnapping and prostitution charges against a teenage girl.

Wayne Taylor along with his wife Zelika Brown, both entered guilty pleas to the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl who lived in Brooklyn, NY.

As per the Queens, New York District Attorney, Taylor kidnapped and presented her as a 19-year-old prostitute and was forced to perform sexual acts for money in several parties.

The girl was held captive in a Queens, New York home, but finally managed to escape.

Queens Woman sentenced to 11 Years In New York Adoption Scam

A 63 year old Woman named Judith Leekin, has been sentenced to 11 Years in adoption scam. The woman is a former resident of Queens and has been convicted for adopting and abusing 11 disabled children.

Police in Search of Two Queens Suspects In multiple Sexual Assaults
