Staten Island, New York August 1 2010 - According to the police reports, a 17-year-old Mexican boy was assaulted by two teenagers when he was returning after working at Manhattan restaurant at 2:30 in the morning. Authorities have said that this is the 10th biased case on the Staten Island.
Police have stated that these two teens robbed $10 from this Mexican boy and then beat him up after shouting anti-Mexican statements. The victim who suffered minor injuries was taken to Richmond University Medical Centre for treatment.

Brooklyn, New Yor, August 2nd 2010 - According to police and eyewitnesses, on Sunday, 12:10 a.m. in the Fifth Ave. near 12th St. in Park Slope, Brooklyn, a gang of 20 people beat upĀ a man to death with tire iron, stabbed and injured the other. Both the men were attacked on the either side of the avenue.
The police did not disclose the name of the deceased person but said that he was 22-year old man. The other injured person who was 20 years of age was taken to the Lutheran Hospital where his condition remained stable.

New York - July 27th 2010 - A 45-year-old marriage photographer named Calogero Scimea was inadvertently killed in Sicily by a gunshot when he made the prospective bride Valentina Anitra, 22, and groom Ignazio Licodia, 25 pose for a photograph using rifles as props. The wedding party was horrified as one of the rifles being used as props went off hitting the photographer on his head killing him on the spot.

Brooklyn, New York 27 Jul 2010 - NYC police have detained two people who were involved in a gun-firing incident that resulted in an injury of a 19-month old girl in her leg.
The baby who was injured on her right leg is now in a stable condition. Police said that the duos were gunning for person they had tried to rob previously and hit the toddler who was close by.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said that the 17-year-old and a 24-year-old suspects were detained on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

A motorcyclist died on the spot when his motorcycle crashed into the building on Long Island.
Suffolk County police have said that they are investigating the accident that happened in Amityville at approximately 8 p.m on July 27, 2010.
Long Island, NY - July 27, 2010 - Police have said that 24-year-old Jorge Fernandez, of Copiague, was riding a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle on the east of Dixon Avenue when the bike left the roadway and hit the building at 175 Dixon Ave. Fernandez was declared dead at the accident spot.
The bike was confiscated for a examination.

Franklin Square, NY - The accident that involved three-vehicles causing injury to a little girl has led to an arrest of the driver on suspicion of DWI.
The accident occurred at 820 Hempstead Turnpike soon after 3:00 p.m on July 27, 2010.
Police said the alleged drunk driver was driving the SUV that was heading towards the westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. A green car with the family of five people was heading in the opposite direction. The SUV driver wanted to take a left turn on Claflin but banged into the car.

New York, NY July 27, 2010 - An autistic man was found dead in a van as he was left alone in the scorching heat.
He was later on identified as 20-year-old Brian Nevins who hailed from New York. This incident happened outside a residential home in Langhorne, Pennsylvania wherein people having different disabilities are taken care of.
Middletown Township police have said that Nevins was left unaccompanied for five hours inside the van on the Woods Services campus after a trip to Sesame Place.

Bronx, NY, July 26, 2010 - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in the Riverdale section of the Bronx Sunday during a powerful thunderstorm that knocked down dozens of trees and damaged several cars and buildings.
A National Weather Service storm damage team and the New York City Office of Emergency Management surveyed the damage Monday and determined that it is consisted with an EF1 tornado.

Two women were riding in a motor vehicle in Brooklyn when a New York City Transit Authority bus disregarded a red light and collided into their car.
At trial, a jury found the NYCTA liable and awarded one woman $7.25 million and the other $250,000.
NYC Transit plans to appeal the verdict.
