Frekhtman & Associates, a New York based construction accident law firm has recently settled a case involving a Brooklyn laborer who fell from a ladder while stripping a circular staircase inside a large multi-apartment dwelling. The plaintiff was working on the ladder when another worker moved a piece of sheetrock which cause other piles of sheetrock to fall over onto their side. A nine-year-old girl was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident at Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn.  She was hit by a tan Nissan Maxima. The driver of the car reportedly fled from the scene.

She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where she is in critical condition.

Police is searching for the driver who fled from the scene and abandoned the car several blocks away on Park Place.

An 11-year old boy died after getting hit by a speeding car. The boy named Rondell Grant was attending a family barbeque while he got hit in front of his relatives who were present at the spot. He was rushed to the Kings County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The impact - captured by a neighbor’s surveillance camera shows Rondell getting hit by the car, and then flying through the air and crashing against a parked scooter.

A 17 year old Brooklyn, New York teenager was shot dead while he was sitting on a bench with a friend. The shooting incident was reported outside Bedford-Stuyvesant housing project on Friday.

The victim Bertrand Jocelyn, was shot in the head and died. He was sitting along with his friend who escaped unhurt. The shooter fled the spot and is still at large.

Three Child care/service worker and two non-profit workers were charged Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stealing $1.5 million which was intended for needy and most vulnerable kids. They have reportedly spent the money on purchasing fancy cars including $85,000 BMW, and a 2006 Range Rover. Another $30,000 was used to pay for a rent in a doorman building apartment.

The Manhattan Federal Court has filed charges against Duncan and Nigel Osarenkhoe, two high-ranking financial employees in the Administration for Children’s Services. The family of the woman who died on the Brooklyn hospital while waiting to be seen in the hospital’s psychiatric ward last month and was caught on surveillance tape, have planned to sue the facility.

Esmin Green’s daughter and sister will ask for $25 million as damages caused by the Kings County Hospital. Also a criminal charge is made by their lawyer.

Surveillance video showed the 49-year-old women shaking on the floor while workers walked pass by.

A five-year-old boy received serious injuries after a fire engulfed his Brooklyn apartment on Knickerbocker Avenue. The fire broke out at around 3p.m, July 07.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of this fire, but it is reported that the boy named Jay Morales, had threatened to set the apartment on fire to kill his grandmother who didn’t allow him to go to the park.

The boy was rebuked for making prank calls to the 911. It is reported that he then found a lighter and set fire to the curtains of his apartment.

The Brooklyn Pastor’s Grandson died after receiving serious injuries during a car accident.

The hospital authorities in Pennsylvania told that D.J. Wright, 14, died from his serious injuries. He was the grandson of Brooklyn Pastor Timothy Wright.

State Police of Pennsylvania told that their car was struck by a driver who was going the wrong way. Among those killed in the crash includes Mr.Wright’s wife, co-pastor Betty and their grandson. The driver of the other car, 44-year-old John Pick also died in this car accident.

A Brooklyn woman was arrested who tabbed her neighbor to death.

Police said that Habika Hickman, aged 30, stabbed her neighbor several times who was residing at East 22nd Street in Kensington.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was declared dead.

Police is searching for suspects in the firing incident which left one person killed and four other injured – two critically at a barbecue in Brooklyn, New York. There were more than 100 people present inside a party tent in the yard at the time when shooting incident happened.

Investigators reported that some unidentified individual started shooting at 969 Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 1 a.m on Sunday.
