The Brooklyn and Manhattan based New York accident and injury law firm opened a Bronx office in late 2009. The office is located at 653 East 189th Street just around the corner from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) building. It is near Fordham University and the Bronx Zoo. The new location is staffed with Spanish speaking secretaries and has one attorney on staff at all times. In the last few months, the firm has seen a number of new clients in this office and looks forward to helping individuals in the Bronx, New York.

Bronx, New York tow truck accident victim identified

A 56-year-old man was struck and killed by a tow truck on March 01. He was trying to cross a busy Bronx street when he was mowed down.
Police has identified victim as Jose Cruz who was trying to cross Broadway at W. 251st St. in Riverdale. The victim died before paramedics could take him to New York-Presbyterian Medical Center Columbia, officials said.

ACS Workers Arraigned In Million-Dollar Fraud Scheme

Three Child care/service worker and two non-profit workers were charged Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stealing $1.5 million which was intended for needy and most vulnerable kids. They have reportedly spent the money on purchasing fancy cars including $85,000 BMW, and a 2006 Range Rover. Another $30,000 was used to pay for a rent in a doorman building apartment.
The Manhattan Federal Court has filed charges against Duncan and Nigel Osarenkhoe, two high-ranking financial employees in the Administration for Children’s Services. Gang Member from Bronx, New York Sentenced to Life without Parole

A Bronx gang member, George Melende was convicted to life without parole. He was involved in a gruesome 2005 murder, and was convicted for the first-degree murder of Dennis Rivera.
The incident happened in 2005 when three Latin Kings gang members tortured Rivera for a day and a half. During this time, victim was forced to drink drano, his genitals were branded with a scalding hammer, and was subjected to electric shocks.
After this gruesome torture, he was strangled to death by crushing his throat with a baseball bat and set fire to his body in a parking lot behind Yankee Stadium.

South Bronx Residents Sue City Over Local Waste Treatment Stench

The residents of Hunts Point in South Bronx have filed lawsuit against the city for smells from a waste treatment plant which has plagued their community.
The community had previously filed complaints and held protests about the sickening smell from local waste treatment plants.
The noxious smells come from the waste water treatment plant in Hunts Point and New York Organic Fertilizer Company. The fertilizer company converts the sewage and human waste into fertilizer pellets.
The local activist organization Mothers on the Move have filed a nuisance lawsuit against the fertilizer company and the city.

A Bronx jury, found three men guilty of a gruesome murder in the infamous case 2005 Torturous Bronx Murder.
Prosecutors told Latin Kings members that George Melendez is convicted for first degree murder and Lawrence Perez,Virgilio Samo were found guilty of second degree murder in the killing of Dennis Rivera in 2005.

Bronx man sentenced for Drunk Driving Death of 3-year-old

A Bronx, New York man was sentenced to 5-15 years in prison. He was sentenced on Monday for drunken driving accident which killed a three-year old boy.
The accused Freddy Rodriguez, 58, was drunk and driving a truck through a red light in Mount Eden, located at Bronx, New York.
