A pedestrian struck by a car in Manhattan won a $500,000 settlement after mediation. Kids Drowned in Unauthorized Swimming Hole

Bronx, New York - July 19th 2010 - Two teens drowned in an unauthorized Bronx swimming hole this Sunday. Neighbors claim that such a tragic incident happened after many of them survived near misses and broken bones.
15-year-old Cinnamin Clark said that people often jumped from the rocks to dive into the swimming hole. A young girl recently broke her arm after such an act.

Bronx, New York - July 28th 2010 - The police stated that an unexpected wave of violence at the junction of Jackson Ave. and E. 166th St. in the Bronx has taken the lives of two people in three days.
An 18-year-old high school senior and a 33-year-old ex-convict were the two victims who were killed within a feet of each other in Morrisania.

Bronx, Ny, 2010-08-01 - Four men murdered an old grandfather named Juan Lopez who belonged to Bronx for a cell phone. According to the police and his family members, he was kicked and punched so hard that he fell unconscious and never recovered. Child from Bronx Died after being Hit by MTA Vehicle

Bronx, New York, July 30th 2010 - A Seven-year-old child (Maxmilio Mendez) was struck and killed by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority vehicle. He was crossing East Harlem street with his mother when this accident took place.
The accident took place at Second Avenue between 124th and 125th Streets at around 9 a.m. The truck was entering a ramp for the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.
Victim’s mother who is pregnant - Erica Lorenzo, 35 - was rushed to Harlem Hospital and is reported to be in a serious but stable condition, police said.

Bronx, NY, July 26, 2010 - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in the Riverdale section of the Bronx Sunday during a powerful thunderstorm that knocked down dozens of trees and damaged several cars and buildings.
A National Weather Service storm damage team and the New York City Office of Emergency Management surveyed the damage Monday and determined that it is consisted with an EF1 tornado.

The Brooklyn and Manhattan based New York accident and injury law firm opened a Bronx office in late 2009. The office is located at 653 East 189th Street just around the corner from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) building. It is near Fordham University and the Bronx Zoo. The new location is staffed with Spanish speaking secretaries and has one attorney on staff at all times. In the last few months, the firm has seen a number of new clients in this office and looks forward to helping individuals in the Bronx, New York.

Bronx, New York tow truck accident victim identified

A 56-year-old man was struck and killed by a tow truck on March 01. He was trying to cross a busy Bronx street when he was mowed down.
Police has identified victim as Jose Cruz who was trying to cross Broadway at W. 251st St. in Riverdale. The victim died before paramedics could take him to New York-Presbyterian Medical Center Columbia, officials said.
