Bronx, New York, July 30th 2010 - A Seven-year-old child (Maxmilio Mendez) was struck and killed by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority vehicle. He was crossing East Harlem street with his mother when this accident took place.
The accident took place at Second Avenue between 124th and 125th Streets at around 9 a.m. The truck was entering a ramp for the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.
Victim’s mother who is pregnant - Erica Lorenzo, 35 - was rushed to Harlem Hospital and is reported to be in a serious but stable condition, police said.

A motorcyclist died on the spot when his motorcycle crashed into the building on Long Island.
Suffolk County police have said that they are investigating the accident that happened in Amityville at approximately 8 p.m on July 27, 2010.
Long Island, NY - July 27, 2010 - Police have said that 24-year-old Jorge Fernandez, of Copiague, was riding a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle on the east of Dixon Avenue when the bike left the roadway and hit the building at 175 Dixon Ave. Fernandez was declared dead at the accident spot.
The bike was confiscated for a examination.

In May 2010, the trial lawyers at Frekhtman & Associates settled a trip and fall case in Brooklyn Supreme Court for $325,000. The plaintiff alleged that he tripped and fell due to a raised sidewalk in front of a Burger King in Brooklyn. He sustained a fractured wrist which required surgery. The defense argued that the plaintiff did not go to the hospital immediately after the fall and never reported the incident to anyone.
