New York Police Detective Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping, Promoting Prostitution

A Veteran Police Detective from Queens, New York, pleaded guilty to the kidnapping and prostitution charges against a teenage girl.

Wayne Taylor along with his wife Zelika Brown, both entered guilty pleas to the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl who lived in Brooklyn, NY.

As per the Queens, New York District Attorney, Taylor kidnapped and presented her as a 19-year-old prostitute and was forced to perform sexual acts for money in several parties.

The girl was held captive in a Queens, New York home, but finally managed to escape.

ACS Workers Arraigned In Million-Dollar Fraud Scheme

Three Child care/service worker and two non-profit workers were charged Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stealing $1.5 million which was intended for needy and most vulnerable kids. They have reportedly spent the money on purchasing fancy cars including $85,000 BMW, and a 2006 Range Rover. Another $30,000 was used to pay for a rent in a doorman building apartment.

The Manhattan Federal Court has filed charges against Duncan and Nigel Osarenkhoe, two high-ranking financial employees in the Administration for Children’s Services. Queens Woman sentenced to 11 Years In New York Adoption Scam

A 63 year old Woman named Judith Leekin, has been sentenced to 11 Years in adoption scam. The woman is a former resident of Queens and has been convicted for adopting and abusing 11 disabled children.

She has admitted to using forge names to adopt the children, and used to send phony report cards to the authorities. She received

Gang Member from Bronx, New York Sentenced to Life without Parole

A Bronx gang member, George Melende was convicted to life without parole. He was involved in a gruesome 2005 murder, and was convicted for the first-degree murder of Dennis Rivera.

The incident happened in 2005 when three Latin Kings gang members tortured Rivera for a day and a half. During this time, victim was forced to drink drano, his genitals were branded with a scalding hammer, and was subjected to electric shocks.

After this gruesome torture, he was strangled to death by crushing his throat with a baseball bat and set fire to his body in a parking lot behind Yankee Stadium.

Construction Worker from Queens, New York died in Accident

A construction worker from Queens, New York was killed on Tuesday when a truck struck a cherry picker he was on which resulted in his fall from 50 feet to the pavement below.

Witnesses say one of the two workers on the lift fell close to three stories to the ground.

The severely bleeding victim was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital Center. It is reported that the end of the crane got hit by the truck which resulted in the death of construction worker.

City Council Hearing on Construction Safety

The New York City Council will hold a hearing today on legislation which deals with construction site and crane safety.

Earlier this month, Li Mandri had announced that there will be a major upgrade of the Building Code. This upgrade will be held for the first time in more than 4 decades. This new building code will introduce Structural safety regulations, along with new emergency systems. The new code will lay more emphasis on the public safety to minimize risks to the public.

Brooklyn Woman Died on Hospital Floor due to Blood Clots.

The attorney for the family who has filed the case against Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn said that the victim died from blood clots. These clots were developed due to inactivity after waiting for more than 24 hours in the psychiatric ward of Kings County Hospital.

The surveillance video clearly showed Esmeen Green fell from her seat after waiting for more than 24 hours in the psychiatric ward. She was shaking on the floor, and was left unattended for more than 1 hour. Several hospital workers passed by, simply ignoring her.

Police in Search of Two Queens Suspects In multiple Sexual Assaults

Police on Thursday night were looking for two men who are responsible for three separate sexual assaults in Queens, New York over the last few days.

Man Died in Rockefeller Center Accident, New York City

A man died on Thursday at Rockefeller Center,New York City in an incident involving a conveyor belt.

According to Fire officials the man’s head stuck in the belt on the 33rd floor of 30 Rockefeller Center.

The victim got a cardiac arrest after the incident and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Till now it is not known how the victim got stuck in the conveyor belt.

Police Officer With Fatal Shooting Acquited by Manhattan Jury

A Manhattan jury decided on Thursday not to accuse a city police officer involved in fatal shooting after a traffic dispute last year.

It all started when Officer Sean Sawyer got involved in an argument with Jayson Tirado, in East Harlem in October.

The argument finally ended with Jayson Tirado being shot to death.

Tirado’s mother Irene is still demanding justice.
