A 17 year old Brooklyn, New York teenager was shot dead while he was sitting on a bench with a friend. The shooting incident was reported outside Bedford-Stuyvesant housing project on Friday.
The victim Bertrand Jocelyn, was shot in the head and died. He was sitting along with his friend who escaped unhurt. The shooter fled the spot and is still at large.

The New York City Comptroller reported that the Department of Education does not properly address complaints related to city school buses.
The New York City Comptroller Bill Thompson found that DOE (Pupil Transportation) has received more than 360,000 complaints related to School Buses. Some of the complaints include illegal weapons on school buses and late arrivals.
It was found that several of these complaints were not addressed properly, and DOE took more than a year to address some of the complaints.
