Bronx, New York tow truck accident victim identified

A 56-year-old man was struck and killed by a tow truck on March 01. He was trying to cross a busy Bronx street when he was mowed down.

Police has identified victim as Jose Cruz who was trying to cross Broadway at W. 251st St. in Riverdale. The victim died before paramedics could take him to New York-Presbyterian Medical Center Columbia, officials said.

Manhattan, NYC dialysis center closed due to unsanitary conditions

A Manhattan dialysis center was closed down after one patient contracted hepatitis C due to unsanitary conditions. The State Health Department inspectors found several samples of blood on chairs and machines.

In the past five years, more than 600 patients were treated at the center, and they have been urged to undergo hepatitis and H.I.V tests.
